POSITION SUMMARY: The building maintenance coordinator is responsible for the total maintenance of the facility, including assisting in the day-to-day operations of facilities management, handling routine requests with outside building vendors/contractors (including janitorial, electrical, and property), and responding to facility requests.



  • Performs regular building, grounds, and equipment upkeep and preventive maintenance in accordance with established safety guidelines and procedures
  • Inspects and maintains building and facilities for safety and security issues
  • Monitors and maintains fire safety equipment, devices, and alarms
  • Organizes and keeps records of equipment and preventive maintenance schedules
  • Receives bids and coordinates outside services within budgetary guidelines
  • Serves as a member of the safety team
  • Conducts monthly safety checks on company equipment and facilities to ensure safe operation and OSHA compliance
  • Schedules vehicle maintenance and driver training
  • Assures mileage logs are maintained


  • Acts as backup to outside service vendors with landscape duties (e.g. lawn mowing, snow removal, etc.) as needed
  • Designs and builds production fixtures
  • Moves and/or sets up machinery
  • Advises team members on equipment safety and set-up
  • Assists in other production areas as needed
  • Assists with accident investigations
  • Others duties as assigned


  • Hand and power tools, table, band and scroll saws, drill press, power sander, chop saw, mill, Dyna Link (pull tester), sand blaster, grinder, scissor lift
  • Personal Protective Equipment is to be used where required


  • Basic machine and woodworking skills
  • Previous experience with hand and power tools
  • Basic HVAC, electrical and plumbing skills
  • Familiar with OSHA guidelines
  • Familiar with building codes
  • Safety conscious
  • Manual dexterity


  • Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationship with team members
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to lift 70 lbs. using proper lifting techniques
  • Ability to climb and work from ladder
