Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Branch Manager assumes responsibility for every aspect of branch and staff operations, ensuring support for DCL core values, initiatives and objectives. Promotes a premium patron experience through consistent personal, staff and leadership development. Fosters a positive culture that synergizes seamlessly with other branches and DCL as a whole. Provides proactive and capable leadership in regard to patron, staff and cultural issues, enlisting assistance from resources when needed. Initiates and/or integrates best practices for the benefit of the district and branch operations. Effectively performs advanced and basic professional managerial tasks. Demonstrates excellence and strategic savvy when exercising independent judgment and initiative.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master’s degree in Library Science or related field is preferred
  • Five years of progressively responsible public library administrative experience
  • Two years supervisory experience

  • Be a leader in providing committed community involvement
  • Maintain the highest possible standards of positive, professional, competent, knowledgeable and responsive public service
 
Starting Salary: Full Time (40 hrs.) Exempt - $2,513.00 (min.) – $3,089.60 (mid.) Biweekly
