The Director of Workforce and Talent Development serves as program manager and marketing communications specialist for our diverse economic and talent development programs which help position Castle Rock as the top tier destination for business and talent. The role reports to the President – CEO, providing day-to-day support and leadership in key initiatives that drive our Castle Rock business community forward.

-> Possess a degree in the following field(s) or equivalent work experience:

  • Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Economic-Community Development, Public Administration, Business

-> Minimum 4 years’ experience in marketing, communications, event planning, and/or economic development.

-> Has knowledge of economic development and workforce development at local and state level government.

-> Has demonstrated success in the creation, implementation, and success of marketing and communication strategies.

-> Is capable of critical thinking and strategy with the ability to implement strategy in measurable outcomes.

-> Has a Creative and entrepreneurial spirit, is an organized self-starter who loves the energy and innovation of group brainstorming and then realizing an idea from beginning to end.

Job Description (Key Initiatives)

-> Workforce & Talent Development

  • Tours for Teachers: Facilitate business collaboration through our bi-annual immersive program in partnership with the Douglas County School District administrators, counselors, and teachers to enrich and promote the future workforce.
  • Chamber Luncheon Series: Facilitate and participate in quarterly events showcasing innovative thinkers discussing workforce and education strategies and opportunities.
  • Women of Influence: Facilitate and participate (Inspire, Empower, and Connect) in Castle Rock as we hear from unique women of influence discussing opportunities for growth and leadership.
  • Castle Rock Jobs Platform: Manage the Castle Rock Chamber Jobs platform and actively market to new and existing users.

-> Leadership Dougals County (LDC) Program

Manage, grow, and create a brand and marketing strategy for our Leadership Douglas County program to include the following:

  • Event staffing, professional development programming, community service projects, and opportunities for leaders in Douglas County.
  • Coordinate with planning committee on all event logistics, locations, vendors, sponsors. Manage program budget. Coordinate marketing and communications efforts.
  • Drive brand awareness, credibility, and growth of the overall LDC initiative through strategic branding, public relations, marketing, social media, and stakeholder engagement efforts.
  • Benchmark growth of program through metrics and competitive research and analysis.
  • Actively strategize and research ways to leverage the LDC program for economic competitiveness, talent recruitment and retention efforts.
  • Coordinate and communicate regularly with committee members.
  • Develop and increase participation in LDC Alumni Program (dues-based program) by providing quarterly events and quarterly email communications with over 400 LDC alumni.
  • Focus on long-term strategy and development of the Douglas County LDC brand for talent attraction, retention, and engagement.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
