Would you be interested in working toward this goal in this community and department? The Castle Rock Water department has an outstanding opportunity for an Instrumentation Technician (SCADA). Under general direction, this position provides professional level installation, calibration, maintenance and instrumentation support for the Town's automated water/wastewater system. Responsibilities include installing, maintaining, calibrating, troubleshooting, testing, and repairing a variety of data acquisition (SCADA), radio communications, and instrumentation and control equipment for water/wastewater collection and distribution systems. Performs duties in a manner consistent with the stated values of the organization.

This position is part of the Town's snow removal program. You will have scheduled on-call responsibilities through the winter months to remove snow using a 4-wheel drive pickup. Snow removal shifts are typically 12 hours. Shares pager duty on a rotating schedule and responds to and performs after-hours calls for service and emergency repair.

Qualifications generally include an Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in instrumentation, electronics or a related field, plus two years instrumentation and electronic equipment repair or any equivalent combination. Must possess a valid driver's license and good driving record. Must satisfactorily complete a criminal background check and driving record check prior to commencing employment.
