Throughout the first two months of 2017, Colorado job growth is 48,200 greater than the same period in 2016. The slower rate of job growth is thought to be a function of the normal "ups and downs" of the business cycle. Recently the Bureau of Labor Statistics released the 2015 and 2016 benchmark employment revisions. On a positive note the number of jobs added in 2015 was bumped up to 77,000. Through much of last year, BLS data pointed to job growth of about 69,000 workers in 2016. Graduation rates in the Douglas County School District continue to climb. Data released today by the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) shows the on-time, four-year graduation rate is now 90.1 percent. DCSD students also made an impressive showing at graduation.
