FAIR PARADE CANCELLED, DOUGLAS COUNTY FAIR & RODEO PREPARATIONS MOVE FORWARD
The Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce has made the difficult decision to cancel the Douglas County Fair Parade this year. The Fair Parade, which originated in 1954, has long since become a staple of the summer’s liveliest weekend of the Douglas County Fair & Rodeo’s public events.
Recently, the Fair Board announced their decision to move forward with preparations for the 2020 Douglas County Fair & Rodeo. Celebrating 101 years, the Douglas County Fair & Rodeo runs Thu, Jul 30 –Sun, Aug 2 with local events & 4-H Shows, July 24-Aug 2 at the Douglas County Fairgrounds.
Although this year may look very different, the Board is diligently exploring all options on how to best circumvent the constraints inflicted by COVID-19 and put on the best event they can while maintaining the health and safety of our community as their highest priority.
