Description

Join the Castle Rock Chamber and Sam Tenney with Fidelis Wealth Advisors for an informational workshop for business owners and leaders. Thoughtful preparation today is the foundation for a resilient, sustainable business and lasting legacy.

"Building Your Business Legacy"- This session will teach how business owners and leaders can future-proof their companies through thoughtful planning in key areas:

• Leadership development and building a strong team
• Succession planning and preparing for the future
• Retirement and financial planning
• Community investment and business philanthropy

Sam was inspired to build a business of his own after watching his father launch one at the age of 55. He often says he found the work he was meant to do, citing the principle that has shaped his career: “Find something that you love to do, that you’d be willing to do it for free, and learn to do it so well, that others are happy to pay you.”

A longtime Castle Rock resident, Sam graduated from Heritage High School and earned his degree in Finance from the University of Phoenix. He and his wife Jamie are raising their seven children in Castle Rock. Outside the office, Sam is a devoted fan of Colorado’s sports teams, an experienced youth basketball coach, and a frequent presence at his kids’ games. Family travel, particularly trips to Lake Powell are one of his favorite ways to unplug. His faith and family remain the foundation of everything he does.

Sam founded Fidelis Wealth Advisors to build the kind of firm he believed clients deserved: independent, principles-driven, and genuinely aligned with the people it serves. He has worked in wealth management since 2000, and prior to launching Fidelis, served as a partner, Director of Financial Planning, Chief Financial Officer, and OSJ at a Denver-based registered investment advisory firm. He earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation in 2006 and holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designation.

Sam’s approach is grounded in listening. He believes the most important part of any financial plan is understanding what the client is actually trying to accomplish and then aligning every recommendation around that. He has little tolerance for hidden agendas in an industry that too often runs on them, which is why the firm bears the name Fidelis which is Latin for loyal. The guiding principle of his work is simple: “Do the right thing, and the results will take care of themselves.”

Beyond his practice, Sam is active in the Castle Rock business community. He sits on the boards of the Castle Rock EDC and the Castle Rock Chamber Foundation, and through Fidelis supports local causes including The Aspen Effect and the Castle Rock Crankers, which invest in Denver-area youth. He also provides pro bono financial planning to families navigating difficult circumstances, an extension of his belief that thoughtful guidance should be accessible.
