2023 Tours for Teachers Application - Fall Program
The Castle Rock Chamber is excited to offer the Fall 2023 Tours for Teachers Program through our Talent Pipeline Douglas County Program. Tours for Teachers takes principals, administrators, teachers, counselors and other staff into the workforce allowing them to collaborate on the current and future workforce needs with local businesses. Find out what opportunities are available and how to better equip students with essential skills needed to enter the workforce.
Participants will receive 10 hours of continuing education credit. Participants may register for one tour, two tours, or all three tours.
Our Fall 2023 Program Dates Are:
Orientation for all Tours: Thursday, September 28th, 3:30 - 5:00pm
Tour Date 1: Thursday, October 12th, 7:30am - 4:00pm - Healthcare
Tours included: Arapahoe Community College, Sky Ridge Medical Center, AdventHealth Castle Rock (formerly Centura Adventist Hospital), Brookside Inn
Additional Presentations: A/D Works, Colorado State Demographer
Tour Date 2: Thursday, November 9th, 7:30am - 4:00pm - Utility, Finance & Automotive
Tours included: Town of Castle Rock Water, CORE Electric Cooperative, Christian Brothers Automotive, ANB Bank, Black Hills Energy
Tour Date 3: Thursday, December 7th, 7:30am - 4:00pm - Technology
Tours included: DCSD Legacy Campus, Lockheed Martin, Aerospace (TBD)
Up to 20 participants will be accepted for the Fall 2023 Tours for Teachers Program.
Please submit your application to the Castle Rock Chamber on or before September 8, 2023.
To apply for participation in the Fall 2023 Tours for Teachers program please:
- Complete the Application
- Attach Supervisor Approval Letter
The Supervisor Approval Letter is required from your reporting supervisor and should include the following:
"I understand the Tours for Teachers program requires participants to commit to one (or more) full days for the program. These days are calendared school days and will require an approved absence on behalf of the participant. I am in support of this applicant's participation in the Tours for Teachers program."
